Terms of Service
Last updated September 17, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Fokyo app and website. By creating an account or using Fokyo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
Fokyo helps you block distracting apps and build healthier screen habits using your device’s Screen Time controls. Fokyo is a productivity tool, not a medical device or a substitute for professional advice. It cannot guarantee any particular outcome.
Free trial, subscriptions, and auto-renewal
Fokyo offers a 7-day free trial, after which the plan renews at $79.99 per year unless you cancel. Subscriptions are auto-renewing: unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, your subscription renews automatically and your payment method is charged for the next period.
Payment is charged to your Apple App Store account. Prices may vary by region and are shown at the point of purchase.
Managing and cancelling
You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time from your App Store subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.
Hard Mode and Screen Time
Hard Mode is designed to make leaving a block deliberate and slow. It asks you to hand Fokyo a Screen Time passcode and to wait out a cooling-off period (or have a partner co-sign) before a release is granted.
Hard Mode is not unbreakable. Apple’s “Forgot Passcode?” flow can reset a Screen Time passcode through your Apple Account. Fokyo makes leaving harder, not impossible, and you are responsible for the settings you choose.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Fokyo: don’t attempt to break, probe, or disrupt the service, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it to violate anyone’s rights or any applicable law. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
Disclaimers
Fokyo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will prevent any specific behavior.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fokyo and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Fokyo in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Fokyo after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
